How did Sunoco become the Official Fuel of NASCAR? Sunoco is the best in class in the race fuel industry. Even before our sponsorship agreement with NASCAR, Sunoco distributed racing gasoline to more than 400 race tracks and over 40 other race sanctions in the United States. As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of racing gasoline, Sunoco already supplied fuel to approximately 80% of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at 75 tracks. Every car and truck in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series uses Sunoco racing fuel exclusively and displays the Sunoco logo on both front quarter panels. In addition, the familiar Sunoco diamond logo is displayed in the entrance and exit areas of pit row. The Sunoco diamond logo is also displayed on drivers' uniforms, fuel cans, and team cars and trucks.
With over 4,800 retail locations, Sunoco provides NASCAR with
the opportunity for marketing and cross-promotions. Our product
quality and proven distribution network combined with the rich
Sunoco racing heritage “made the grade” when NASCAR selected
Sunoco as the fuel of choice for many years to come. * NASCAR® and NASCAR® Performance Network are registered trademarks of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc |
